Special polish is supplied with instructions on how to take care of your new plinth.Īll plinths are supplied with Chassis mounting bolts for your particular turntable model. This plinth is finished in a premium natural brush finish to compliment the SP-10R perfectly, other finishes on special request. Lastly, all 10” and 10.5” arms will fit with dust cover with no issues. Some 9” arms will fit, however some are so tight, the arm base practically touches the chassis on the turntable, example Kuzma 4 point with about 0.7mm Gap to spare. The SP10 turntable is designed for larger 10-10.5” arms so before you decide to purchase a plinth you need to consider what tonearm you are using and wether it is actually going to fit. Realistically, any tonearm with a mounting distance of 215-222mm is probably not ideal for the technics SP10. If you do not use the optional place on type dust cover then you may fit 12" tonearms in the normal position without issue. (see last photo) of why some arms makes it impossible for a dust cover to be used when using long arms over 10.5” in the normal position.Īt the mounting distance of 295mm for example on a 12"Tonearm, the pivot centre to inside of dust cover for counterweight clearance is 48mm. The regular position is for 9 to 10.5" Tonearms and the rear position can be for the longer 12" tonearms, like the technics SL-1000R plinth, there are restrictions of what tonearm can go where due to dust cover restrictions and counterweight swing so please let us know which tonearm you wish to fit when ordering if using a dust cover. There are two positions for different length tonearms when using a dust cover. The following paragraphs are useful information for mounting certain tonearms. Tonearm bases can be changed between normal and rear position keeping the correct mounting distance. All vibrations are carried down into the solid milled delrin base which is rigidly connected to allow resonances that are wanted and unwanted to be dispersed equally and effectively. We use 6082 high grade tooling plate alloys mostly in the construction as it has great acoustic qualities with an evenly machined surface of certain thickness to absorb vibrations and dissipate them at a certain velocity away from the tonearm area. The different materials are used in specific areas to elimate and absorb resonance. The lower layer of this massive plinth is a huge 45mm slab of Polyoxymethylene or POM Delrin milled precisely and when mated directly to the top makes this plinth just work wonderfully, and is finished with a special satin black finish. A huge lower layer slab of delrin mated with the top layer and heavy grade large billet alloy feet with M6 Thread and sorbothane integrated ring. The SME adaptor is essentially the same as our Jelco adaptor, machined from a one-piece billet of magnesium alloy, but with SME type mountings. The anticipated new version of our Delrinium Plinth system designed specifically for the technics SP10 and quiet simply the best and unbeatable plinth under £2500Ī massive construction premium plinth cnc precision milled 35mm solid billet alloy top layer and arm boards. It is designed for the Isonoe 861E arm, but will accommodate any 9-inch arm that has a Jelco or Linn-type mount This adaptor is unique amongst adaptors made for the SL1200 / 1210 in that, unlike its competitors (which are often crudely made from sheet metal bolted together), it is CNC-machined from a massive one-piece billet of magnesium alloy. As standard it comes with a silver-plated cable, terminated with Profi and 1877 connectors. The arm is mounted via our unique CNC-machined stainless steel height-adjuster mechanism. The arm / tube assembly is manufactured to our specification by a famous fabricator in Japan. The current line of products is as follows: After numerous requests, the decision was made to add the items to the standard Isonoe catalogue.
Isonoe has been manufacturing and supplying components for turntable conversions to professional users since 2004.
